MDT Minister Meets with India’s Tech Leaders

In an enlightening meeting on January 22nd, Senator the Honourable Minister Hassel Bacchus, accompanied by a skilled delegation, engaged with the Senior Director & Centre Head, Naveen Kumar Jain and the vibrant team at the Centre for the Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), a Scientific Society of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India.

In an enlightening meeting on January 22nd, Senator the Honourable Minister Hassel Bacchus, accompanied by a skilled delegation, engaged with the Senior Director & Centre Head, Naveen Kumar Jain and the vibrant team at the Centre for the Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), a Scientific Society of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India.

During the visit, the C-DAC team showcased their pioneering mission mode programmes that supporting India its drive for global innovation. The presentations covered a wide spectrum of cutting-edge technologies including Quantum Computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Blockchain Technologies. The Minister and his delegation were also briefed on C-DAC’s significant strides in Education and Training, Cyber Security, Digital Literacy, and e-Governance.

The meeting was not just a display of technological prowess but also a collaborative platform for discussing the integration of these advanced systems into the framework of Trinidad and Tobago’s own digital landscape. Minister Bacchus noted the potential for these technologies to enhance the nation’s digital infrastructure and citizen services.
