Empowering Women in ICT: WeLearnTT launches SimpliLearn courses 

The Ministry of Digital Transformation invites women who are passionate about pursuing or upskilling their career in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to register for training with global skills provider, SimpliLearn. 

With a curriculum created by Microsoft, IMB, Meta, and Google, Amazon Web Services (AWS), SimpliLearn offers a self-paced online learning approach with hands-on activities, labs, and projects. These courses include but aren’t limited to Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Introduction to Cyber Security, AWS Big Data Certification Training, and Python Training.

These no-cost-to-user e-learning courses provide a unique opportunity for women to break barriers, develop skills and contribute to the technological landscape of Trinidad and Tobago. 


  1. Women who are 18 years of age and older
  2. Express a desire to pursue a career in the field of ICT
  3. Have either qualified in or been exposed to ICT for a minimum of one year. Academic achievements should be listed.
  4. Applicants must submit a personal statement (one paragraph) outlining their career goals and their intended contribution to Trinidad and Tobago.

In an industry where diversity and inclusion are crucial for innovation, the Ministry recognizes the importance of fostering a supportive environment for women to excel in ICT. This initiative is part of our commitment to empower women to thrive in the rapidly evolving world of technology.

Interested women can visit mdt.gov.tt to be considered for an opportunity to benefit from the initiative. On successful completion of all course assessments, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion which will enable them to advance their careers or businesses in the ICT Field.
