On Friday May 27, 2022 the Belmont Access Centre was launched at the formal re-opening ceremony of the Belmont Community Centre. Through a strong partnership with the Ministry of Sport and Community Development, we’re happy to add these spaces with internet connectivity, computer equipment, devices and training facilities to some of the new Community Centres which will be opened throughout 2022. Residents can come in to work, learn, host meetings and use the devices at no charge.
The Belmont Access Centre boasts of a Cyber Cafe and Training Room – visit us Mon-Fri from 10am – 6pm to access the world through AccessTT!

Advancing Collaboration” is the theme today as Huawei presents Ideahub devices to the Government of Trinidad and Tobago through iGovTT . These tools will help us as we move towards Digital Government. The 22 Ideahub devices to Ministries, Departments and Agencies for use in the public service of Trinidad and Tobago. Public-private partnerships are a key facet of our Digital Government – helping the GoRTT to break down silos – across sectors, across Ministries and across cultures.

To celebrate Girls in ICT Day 2022, five (5) young women in our Ministry share about their experience in the ICT sector. Our Associate Professionals, Glaisha Roberts, Caron David, Kaela Archer and Sahra Ramdath, are recent graduates who studied various subjects, but are finding their niche in the Digital Ministry. Denyse White, Deputy Chief National Digital Officer, is more seasoned in the ICT Sector, and shares how she sees herself as “a cog in the wheel” to make ICT more meaningful for you.

Stephen Sookram, CSR at our Todd’s Road ICT Access Centre, explains how love for community has been at the centre of all the services offered at the Access Centre.
